Machinery Parts Manufacturer is reporting that Tesla is planning to launch a supercharger system that will deliver up to 60 kW of power to the Model S, including the superchargers in the US.

According to a Tesla spokesperson, the company is working on a new supercharging system that it hopes will be ready to roll out by the end of 2020.

The system would enable Tesla to get up to 1,200 miles of charging in a day.

Tesla’s announcement comes less than a month after the company revealed it was adding a supercharging network to its Gigafactory in Nevada to further boost battery production.
