Parts that are the most expensive in the newest Toyota Supras are all parts that have never been used before, a source has revealed.
It is understood that the top-of-the-line Supra has a lot of different models, including a 2.0-litre turbocharged V6, a 4.7-litres supercharged V8 and a 7.3-liters twin-turbo V8, which the company is aiming to make available for the 2015 model year.
The top-end models are said to include the 4-door sedan, a 1.8-litry coupe and a hatchback.
There are also two new models, a sporty version of the hatchback and a new SUV.
“The 4.8 litre turbo is one of the most important parts in any new Toyota, and we want to offer the same for the 1.6 litre Turbo,” the source said.
A 5.6-liture V6 is also reportedly in the works, along with a 1-litrous turbocharged petrol engine, a 7-speed automatic transmission and a 12-volt battery.
For 2015, the company will offer a turbocharged 2.4-litra petrol engine with a power output of 523bhp (350kW) and a torque output of 707Nm (390Nm) at 0-62mph (16km/h).
Toyota’s next-generation Supra will arrive in dealerships in the middle of this year.
It is also understood that Toyota is aiming for the new models to be available for sale in 2017.
